I've looked at the GPOs, they all use Item targeting to point to a group, not a particular machine. I've checked a few places in the registry that some googling suggested (.default I believe was the most promising failure). I've tried uninstalling them as a domain admin and a local admin using the Remove Device option. Removal was successful on 3 of the 4 hosts, but on this one cursed host, they (2 printers) continue to reappear. It seems the GPOs for these printer assignments are working better now, so my goal was to remove all these directly installed printers and lean solely on group policy to avoid redundant entries. Worked well, but it was sloppy and excessive. We had a bit of trouble getting certain printers deployed to certain people, so for a while, printers were installed locally to these hosts to keep them from disappearing so often. So I've got a small RDS farm on Server 2012 with a handful of hosts and one of these hosts insists on reinstalling a printer I'm removing. Hello everyone! I have a printer question.
